Can I restore notes from my iPhone after deleting them?

Can I retrieve ‘notes’ on an iPhone after deleting them?

I made the huge mistake of letting my 3 years old girl play with my iPhone and when I went back to check a note a few days later I was horrified to find that they were all gone. Really not good! Is there any way to recover notes from my iPhone or from within iTunes? If it makes a difference, I’m running Windows 7 on a Dell laptop.

The answer is probably yes. But we need to configure the probability of recover: Just let’s see the big two ‘if’s in this:

  • If the notes you want to recover were created before your most recent iTunes / iCloud backup, you can restore notes from iTunes or iCloud backup files;
  • If you deleted a note from your iPhone or iPad, but you never didn’t sync with iTunes, you still have chance to directly recover notes from your iPhone.

Note: probably your iPhone notes can not be recovered: ‘You created notes after the recent backup. But after the notes deleting, you still synced your iPhone with iTunes again.’ I’m sorry that the backup file is overwritten by the content on your iPhone. Maybe the lost notes will go forever.

If you have any of the ‘if’s above, you can restore your iPhone notes from either iPhone or iTunes/iCloud backup. Read on and get the detailed steps.
